High Tide Software Development LLCVersion 1.0Effective May 26, 2026
The short version. We build privacy-first software. We collect the minimum needed to sell, license, and support our products. We do not run analytics or trackers on our website. We do not share or sell your data. Our software processes your data locally on your own machine — we never see the contents of your databases, files, or work product.
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how High Tide Software Development LLC (“High Tide,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information about you when you visit hightidesoftware.ai, purchase or license our software products (including DeepDataDive and DDD Builder), or contact us for support.
High Tide is a North Carolina limited liability company located at 337 Tall Ships Lane, Hampstead, NC 28443. For questions about this Policy, contact legal@hightidesoftware.ai.
2. What we collect — and do not collect
What we collect: we collect only the information you provide to us directly, plus minimal technical information needed to deliver and license our software:
Contact information you submit through our contact form or by emailing us (name, email address, company name, and any message content you provide).
Purchase information when you buy a license through Stripe (your email address and a Stripe customer ID; your billing address and payment details are collected and stored by Stripe, not by us — see Section 5).
License activation information when you activate our software (your license key and a machine identifier derived from your computer’s hardware and operating system, used solely to bind the license to a single installation as described in the End User License Agreement).
Support communications when you contact us for help (your email address, the contents of your message, and any diagnostic information you voluntarily share).
Server logs generated automatically when you visit our websites or when our software communicates with our license server (IP address, timestamp, requested resource, response status). These logs are retained for a limited period for security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention.
What we do not collect: we want to be specific about what we do not do, because it sets us apart:
We do not run analytics, tracking pixels, advertising trackers, session replay tools, or behavioral profiling on hightidesoftware.ai. The website does not set tracking cookies.
We do not collect, transmit, store, or have access to the contents of your databases, files, queries, exports, or any other data that you process using our software. Our software is designed to run locally on your infrastructure; your data does not leave your environment.
We do not collect telemetry beyond license verification. Our software does not phone home for update checks, usage analytics, feature tracking, crash reporting, or any other purpose without your explicit action.
We do not collect biometric information, precise location data, or information about other software or files on your device.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18. Our products are commercial business software not directed at minors.
3. How we use information
We use the information we collect only for the following purposes:
To deliver, license, and support the software you purchase.
To respond to inquiries and provide customer support.
To process payments through Stripe, our payment processor.
To enforce license terms, including verifying that a license is being used in accordance with the End User License Agreement.
To maintain the security and integrity of our systems, including detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
To comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not use your information for advertising, marketing to third parties, or any purpose not listed above. We do not build behavioral profiles. We do not sell your data.
4. Legal bases (for users in applicable jurisdictions)
Where applicable law (such as the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation) requires us to identify a legal basis for processing personal information, we rely on the following:
Performance of a contract — to provide the software, license, and support that you have purchased.
Legitimate interests — to operate our business, secure our systems, enforce our agreements, and prevent fraud, in each case balanced against your privacy interests.
Consent — where you have voluntarily contacted us or provided information.
Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws.
5. Third parties we work with
We use a small number of third-party service providers, each only for the specific purpose described:
Stripe — our payment processor. When you purchase a license, you complete checkout on Stripe’s platform. Stripe collects and stores your billing address, payment card details, and transaction information. We receive only your email address, the items purchased, and a Stripe customer ID; we never see your full payment details. Stripe’s privacy practices are governed by Stripe’s own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
Cloudflare — our website hosting and network provider. Cloudflare routes traffic to our websites and software services and generates standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, request data) in the course of doing so. Cloudflare’s practices are governed by Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Google Workspace — our email provider. Email you send to us (info@, support@, legal@, or similar addresses) is delivered through Google Workspace. Google’s handling of business email is governed by Google’s privacy policy.
We do not share information with these providers beyond what is necessary for them to provide the service. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
6. How long we keep information
We retain personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes for which we collected it, or as required by law:
Purchase and license records are retained for the duration of your license plus a reasonable period thereafter to comply with tax, accounting, and audit obligations (typically seven years).
Contact form submissions and support communications are retained for as long as is reasonable to provide ongoing support, typically two years from the last interaction.
Server logs are retained for a limited period (typically 30 to 90 days) for security and operational purposes.
You may request earlier deletion as described in Section 8.
7. How we protect information
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and minimal data retention. Because we collect very little, the surface area for any incident is small by design.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will notify affected individuals and authorities of any breach as required by applicable law.
8. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to:
Access the personal information we hold about you;
Request correction of inaccurate information;
Request deletion of your information, subject to our legitimate need to retain records for tax, license enforcement, or legal compliance;
Request a copy of your information in a portable format;
Object to or restrict certain processing;
Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, email legal@hightidesoftware.ai. We will respond within a reasonable time (typically thirty days). We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
If you are located in California, the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with specific privacy laws, you may have additional rights under those laws. Contact us and we will assist.
9. International transfers
We are based in the United States. If you are located outside the United States and contact us or purchase from us, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where applicable law requires, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms (such as standard contractual clauses through our service providers).
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the version number and effective date at the top. Material changes will be communicated through reasonable means, which may include posting a notice on our website or emailing licensed users. Continued use of our services after a material change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
Prior versions are archived and available on request.
